History
John Michael Kohler, a visionary businessman, was the founder of Kohler Group. He was an Australian immigrant who purchased a cast iron and steel foundry in Wisconsin in 1873 and settled on the shores of Lake Michigan. John Michael Kohler was a genius mind, headstrong about making a name for himself.
One day he coated an iron horse trough with enamel and marketed it as a bathtub. His creativity brought an impressive turn to his fate. The bathtub was a hit and an inception of a new exciting business. This humble beginning embarked Kohler's success journey, and today, Kohler is a global name for innovation, quality and originality.
